North Star Dental Partners is Hiring a Dental Front Desk Receptionist Near Broward County, FL

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Front Desk Receptionist perform day-to-day activities of the business office, including maintenance of patient records, scheduling of patients, accounts receivable, maintaining appearance and order of the dental office, and welcoming of new and current patients.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

The primary responsibility of a Front Desk Receptionist is to attend to the patients on the phone and in person. Coordinate and organize appointments by maintaining the schedule as well as facilitate the work flow of the dental office.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet and build strong rapport with patients
  • Processes patient data entry into appropriate systems and submits insurance claims daily
  • Maintains office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders, organizing stockroom and verifying receipt of supplies
  • Introduces new patients to other team members in a 2-1 transfer
  • Promptly notifies the patient if there will be a wait when they arrive and consistently updates the patients on wait times in an unmistakably caring demeanor.
  • Pre-empts wait times by calling patients ahead of time if the schedule is busy and the patients won’t be taken back on time.
  • Checks in lab cases
  • Ensure Hygiene Schedule is full; Re-care calls
  • Ask each patient to participate in the Referral Program
  • Maintain a clean and neat working area
  • Adhere to uniform and dress code policy
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to write clearly, concisely, logically, and legibly
  • Demonstrate accuracy in spelling and basic mathematics
  • Speak, understand and write grammatically correct English
  • Excellent customer service and phone etiquette skills
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Dentistry including dental terminology, technology, health maintenance, procedures
  • Knowledge of insurance plans and payment/collection processes

Maintain a professional demeanor at all times

  • Demonstrates exceptional human relation skills
  • Ability to assess issues and seek resolutions
  • Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year Dental Front Desk experience
  • Open Dental knowledge preferred
  • CPR Certification preferred
  • Ability to travel from office to office as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
